Padmashree Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar pays tribute in Dhrupad to Raja Rammohun Roy
Heather House organized a Dhrupad tribute to Raja Rammohun Roy at the India Habitat Centre on the 5th of January 2024. The tribute was paid by Padmashree Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar from his repertoire of ragas which were formed in Banaras by his ancestor, Behram Khan, son of Shri Gopal Das, the Imam Baksh in Benaras at the time when Rammohun Roy stayed for a while there.
